The Great Rock and Roll Swindle
Napster Bad?? Metalica Sad!!

OK, I know the Napster issue is an old one now, and that since the demise of that file sharing network, more have cropped up, but its something that I feel very strongly about. To me, peer to peer file sharing is like swapping taped albums in the school playground (except they probably burn CD's nowadays..I'm showing my age here lol); I doubt it will cause any real damage to people like Dr Dre and Metallica as they are loaded anyway, and the people who download their music will probably only use it for personal use. I can bet that their record companies, managers, agents etc screw them more than Napster ever could!!

The record companies certainly screw us, the record buying public. In the UK, a new CD can cost upto about £15.00. I consider that a total rip off and can well imagine all those profits being snorted through a rolled up note into the nasal cavities of some Fat Cat manager. So, Dre and Metallica, why dont you sue the people who are really ripping you (and us, the public) off. With prices like those, is it any wonder that people use Peer to Peer file sharing. We dont earn the type of money you lot do. If you stopped being the corperate puppets that you are, and looked after your own careers, ie start your own label, manage yourselves etc, you may be able to make your records cheaper and people will buy them instead of downloading them! EVER GET THE FEELING YOU'VE BEEN CHEATED?? You should do, cos your corperate cock-sucking makes us get that feeling!

And anyway, if file sharing is that bad, how come people like Radiohead, David Bowie, Madonna, The Edge (U2), Moby and others think its a great way of getting their music out to the people that matter; the fans. After all that, heres a few associated links:
